Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how PrepSarkar handles subscription payments, cancellations, and refund requests for paid plans purchased through our website or app. It applies together with our Terms of Service.

1. Free plan

The Aspirant (free) tier does not involve subscription charges. No refunds apply to free access.

2. Paid subscriptions

  • Paid plans (such as Scholar and Officer) are billed in advance through our payment partner (for example, Razorpay) on the billing cycle you select (monthly or annual).
  • Fees are for access to digital services during the paid period. Unless a refund is expressly approved under this policy, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the paid period has started.

3. Cancellation

  • You may cancel auto-renewal or your subscription from your account or billing settings, subject to the flows available in the product at the time.
  • Canceling stops future charges; it does not automatically refund charges already collected for the current billing period unless we approve a refund under Section 4.
  • If you cancel mid-cycle, you typically retain access for the remainder of the period you already paid for, unless required otherwise by law or by a specific promotion's terms.

4. When we may issue a refund

We review refund requests in good faith. Refunds or partial credits may be considered, for example, when:

  • You were charged more than once for the same subscription period by mistake.
  • A technical failure on our side prevented you from accessing paid features for a sustained period during an active paid term, and support could not restore access in a reasonable time.
  • We are required to provide a remedy under applicable law or by order of a competent authority.

Approval, timing, and amount (full or partial) depend on the facts and records we have, including payment and usage logs.

5. Situations where refunds are typically not provided

  • Change of mind after purchase or lack of use during the subscription period.
  • Dissatisfaction with exam outcomes, syllabus coverage, or third-party exam dates and notifications (see our Terms regarding service scope).
  • Violation of the Terms of Service, abuse, chargeback fraud, or circumvention of plan limits.
  • Issues caused solely by your device, network, bank, or payment provider outside our control.

6. How to request a refund

Email support@prepsarkar.com from the email associated with your account. Include your registered mobile number, the approximate charge date and amount, and a short description of the issue. We may ask for additional information to verify your request.

7. Processing

Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method where possible. Settlement timing depends on banks and payment partners and may take several business days after we initiate the refund.

8. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, we may suspend or close accounts linked to abusive disputes and share records required by payment partners. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue directly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we publish revisions. Continued use of paid services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
